LP/CD The title is not an invitation to feast on slices of toasted white bread – a toast is a toast and this ancient tradition is practiced here for life. The finiteness of life is illustrated on the record cover as well as the suggestion to use it. In terms of content, the breadth of life is celebrated in an obvious Pokes-Text manner. The LP version offers 13 songs and includes the CD album as a pocket version. The official CD comes as a digipak and includes 2 bonus tracks from the recently released single as well as a limited CD special in the 16-page booklet for fans of English spelling. The sound alone would give The Pokes a unique selling point, but the English lyrics are as distinctive as they are voice with which they are presented is memorable.
